The era of Franz Joseph Haydn and his classical music in the 1700s. Joseph was a normal boy born in the small Austrian village of Rohrau and one of twelve children. He always had an interest in music from a young age singing within the choir and joining his family in their interest in folk music. He turned out being a composer like none other, creating a whole new genre of music. Haydn was a perfectionist which shone through in his hundreds of instrumental symphonies and string quartets. And became a influence on many classical composers years later.
